No gatekeeping. Just the real, raw truth.
Let’s normalize saying it out loud:
Money makes motherhood easier.
Not because we’re outsourcing love.
Not because rich b*tches don’t want to be with our kids.
But because motherhood is a freaking lot—and being financially resourced gives us something most mothers have been systemically denied:
Options. Bandwidth. Margin. And the ability to build the village that society forgot.
In this week’s episode of The Millionaire Mother Podcast, I’m pulling back the curtain on 7 specific ways money supports me in motherhood—in my real, everyday life raising three little ones and running a multi-million dollar company.
This isn’t theory. It’s not me on a soapbox. It’s the actual stuff that helps me stay regulated, rooted, and connected—to my kids, my business, my body, and myself.
Money Supports My Mental & Emotional Health
From therapy and coaching to nervous system work and energy healing—I’ve used money to resource myself and my family emotionally.
One recent example? My intuition told me something was off with my daughter. Not in a dramatic way—but I just knew. We booked a session with an energy healer for kids. The shift after one session? Unbelievable.
When you’re resourced, you can follow your intuition and your values.
You don’t have to ignore your gut because your budget said no.
Paid Help = Peace, Not Guilt
Yes, we have 45 hours a week of paid support.
No, I am not a distant, detached parent.
Our help folds the laundry while I play with my kids. They handle diaper duty while I get one-on-one time with another child. They help keep our home from feeling like a war zone while I breathe—and build.
This isn’t about outsourcing motherhood. It’s about reclaiming margin so I can mother from overflow, not resentment.
Money Creates Emotional Margin
You know what’s underrated? Being able to transition from CEO to mom without spiraling.
Money allows me to create buffer zones in my life. It means I can finish a client call, take a deep breath, ground myself—and then walk into dinner with my kids instead of snapping at everyone because I’m fried.
That margin doesn’t just change my experience. It changes the emotional blueprint my children are receiving.
Money Has Elevated Our Health
From organic food and holistic medicine to high-quality supplements and a home sauna, I’ve used money to feel better in my body—and help my kids thrive, too.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about choice.
And I’ll say it loud: you can be a conscious, present, values-driven mother and still want to afford the good probiotics.
I Don’t DIY Parenting Alone Anymore
You better believe I’ve bought the books, taken the courses, hired the coaches, and deep-dived into all the resources around:
Potty training
Sleep support
Conscious discipline
Baby & toddler nutrition
Parenting multiple children
Because I’m not here to “wing it” with the most important relationships of my life. We weren’t meant to mother in isolation.
Being financially resourced means I can learn from experts instead of relying on burnout and Googling in the dark at 2 AM.
Supporting My Identity Beyond Motherhood
This is a big one. Money has helped me remember that I’m more than just a mom (and that doesn’t make me ungrateful—it makes me whole). It’s meant:
Investing in clothes that fit my postpartum body
Date nights with Toby
Solo time that recharges me
Skincare, beauty, and yes, feeling good in my own skin again
This doesn’t make me selfish. It makes me me. My kids don’t need a self-sacrificed version of me—they need the woman who remembers her own essence.
Creating a Home that Feels Like Home
Our historic 12-acre farmhouse in Maine? I bought it with my ideas. With my essence. With my work. That home is more than walls—it’s a container for memories. For connection. For legacy.
I remember my mentor and dear friend Kate Northrup once told me: “Cait, I want you to stand in front of that house and say: I bought this with my ideas.”
Cue the tears. Because yes, love and connection are what matter most, but money lets us create the space where that connection gets to flourish.
This isn’t about choosing money or motherhood. It’s about owning that you get to have both. You get to be present and prosperous. Rooted and rich. Deeply loving and deeply resourced. You don’t have to martyr yourself for your children. You get to model expansion for them.
