Though I was already running a successful multi 6
figure
company as a Business Coach, the news of
my pregnancy sent
me into a total fear spiral.
I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to successfully run
– let
alone scale – my business while being a Mother.
I had no clue
how to balance new motherhood with
being a CEO.
I felt so much pressure as the breadwinner to not
change
things in my business, even though pregnancy
was
transforming every fiber of my being and I could
feel in my
bones I was about to become a whole new
woman on the
other side.
When I gave birth to my daughter
in
October of 2020, I underwent a
profound initiation, my own death
and rebirth.
I went on to birth 3 children in under 4 years,
and here’s what I know to be true: Motherhood
is a portal that leaves no woman as she
was before.
Just as our bodies shapeshift and morph in order to
sustain
new life – our bodies of work and the way we
approach and
operate our businesses as CEOs must
also adjust when we
hold the dual role of both
business owner and mother.
Becoming a mother for me was not just about birth,
but
about death.
I had to let parts of my old identity die so that I
could be
reborn… and I also had to let old ways of
operating my
business die so that a new, more
expansive version of my
business that would sustain
me in this new season could
be birthed into
the world.
Completely redesigned my back-
end
infrastructure. Simplified,
streamlined, and
cut my work
week down to 15-20 hours/week.
And want to know what happened? My
business skyrocketed.
I crossed $1M in my business the very year I became
a
Mother (2020) – and have had consecutive 7 figure
cash
years every year since.
Today I support a community of over 30,000
mother
entrepreneurs from over 28 countries, on
our podcast and
our community newsletter.
To date, I’ve helped hundreds of women generate
collectively
multiple 8 figures in revenue, all while
birthing babies, raising
families and building
generational wealth as they go.
I’ll be the first to tell you: I don’t.
I’m a firm believer that as mothers, we’re designed to
have
it all (and knowing that we’re worthy of it all is
perhaps the
greatest living lesson we can pass on to
our children).
But having it all is not the same as doing it all.
I sure as hell
